So, i accidentally double-sold a sketch card while i was at a con recently. So to make it up, i offered to do whatever the guy wanted. His request was a JOKER, so i was thrilled to oblige.
This was a recent commission, for a fellow who wanted to see awesome 90's Danzig as Wolverine.
Needless to say, i had a load of fun on this one.

Today's card is THE OLD WITCH. Looking at the ol' EC Ghoulunatics, i thought it'd be fun to play with the others and try my spin on them in the vein of HBO's take on Crypt Keeper.
Ghastly Graham Ingels' design for her was/is perfect. I lost her "little" eye for added effect, just to say i tried something. I love drawing these guys.

Today's card is THE VAULT KEEPER. Looking at the ol' EC Ghoulunatics, i thought it'd be fun to play with the others and try my spin on them in the vein of HBO's take on Crypt Keeper.
His overall design was kind of forgettably similar to the Crypt Keeper, so made him thicker for body contrast, and really played up his bumpy skin, going full-on leprosy with him. Otherwise, i tried to keep as many of the recognizable elements of his face as intact as possible. Overall, i thought it was a pretty fun and successful little exercise.

Today's card is THE CRYPT KEEPER. I idolize Jack Davis' work as much as anyone possibly can, but i'll be the first to admit that the HBO punch-up on the character's design was absolutely perfect.

This commissioner wanted THE BATMAN WHO LAUGHS, which is the new Batman/Joker/Cenobite mashup happening over in DC METAL. Pretty fun subject to play around with.

My daughter is back on the HARRY POTTER train, and just wrapped up The Chamber of Secrets. I wanted to do something fun with DOBBY, and immediately my mind jumped to laughing at Sifl and Olly back when i was in college.

Sweet Christmas! i've always enjoyed LUKE CAGE, and this new Netflix show is pretty damn enjoyable, too. Great cast, great soundtrack. I'm diggin' it.
